Living boating in Cape Coral

Most know that Cape Coral is a waterway wonderland with over 400 miles of navigable canals. One does not need to be on a canal, the river or a lake to enjoy boating. We have quite a few marinas and ramps from which to launch your boat or rent one.

Following an example of a boat ramp at the very south of the peninsula at the Cape Coral Yacht Club Community Park.

I always enjoyed the Yacht Club Community Park as it has quite a few activities within a short distance. It is one of the original landmarks of Cape Coral in 1957. Actually the whole area of The Yacht Club which is just South of Cape Coral Parkway as you come in from the first bridge from Fort Myers, is where the city originally originated from.

Last year was added the Boathouse Grill, fun restaurant smack on the sand do the Cape Coral Beach. Great place to kick back and enjoy the view towards the Pier and Sanibel island.

There are about 98 slips for boats up to 55 feet and you may rent your own for an hour or a day.

This marina has also “unrestricted gulf access” which means there are no bridges to the river and the Gulf of Mexico.
